Performing Arts & Cultural

SM&W has provided consulting for performance spaces that have ranged from intimate theaters to 2,500-seat open halls and large multi-purpose spaces. SM&W’s core purpose is to provide guidance and creative technology solutions to the places we work, play and live more functional, safe and welcoming. Nowhere is this more relevant than in the design of spaces for the arts. Some of our projects and clients include:

"Our theatrical consulting includes detailed design support for performance areas including size, traffic flow, access requirements, seating, codes and adjacencies; and sizes of spaces for backstage support spaces. We specialize in the design of rigging, performance lighting, special staging, draperies, orchestra lifts, fire curtains as well as specialized equipment. "
