Two 180-metre towers stand above six shorter buildings, which vary in height. The Bund Finance Centre included a Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Resort, residential units, office buildings, an arts center and a shopping mall. The buildings encircle a public plaza with retail and cultural facilities. All buildings were designed to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund offers 260 guestrooms, a ballroom, meeting rooms, restaurants, a fitness center and a spa. A moving veil surrounds the arts center, allowing flexibility between exhibitions and performances.
