SM&W Contribution

Shen Milsom & Wilke performed a security assessment for The Catholic University of America. The University requested a multi-phased assessment to assist in upgrading and updating their systems and identifying an integration partner they could develop a long-term relationship with. SM&W’s main focus included physical access control and video surveillance systems.

Upon kicking off the assessment, our physical security team conducted an electric security systems survey to review video surveillance and access control systems. A report was generated that provided an assessment of the current status, as well as recommendations for improvement. This led to the development of a tiered system to categorize security requirements based on the intended use of the space, which could be applied to all future security installations.

After our security team completed the initial survey, they worked to develop an RFP to issue to integrators on behalf of The Catholic University of America. Once issued, SM&W identified top level security integration companies that that can meet the requirements of the University. SM&W then provided impartial and unbiased review of RFP responses, providing a final recommendation on integration partner for The Catholic University of America.
