SM&W Contribution

In 2015, GroupM commenced a renovation of ten floors at 3 World Trade Center to consolidate office space; they had previously been spread out in multiple locations around New York City. Their new offices are seeking LEED Gold Certification or higher. GroupM comprises multiple business entities and stakeholders.

The primary challenges were the scale and variety of technology enabled spaces; the multiple stakeholders and their various technology needs; the network architecture requirements; and the schedule. SM&W’s scope included the room reservation technology integration.

SM&W provided AV consulting for the various huddle and high-performance presentation rooms. A key component of the project was integrating Microsoft 365 and Skype for Business into the workflow. SM&W engineered an integrated technology solution that supports GroupM’s unique business requirements.

Group M has set the bar very high for workplace experience. The space was design to allow for an immersive flexible and agile environment which allows our employees to move around in different spaces throughout the building. Our space was equipped with integrated, multimedia technology. Each of the 13 floors we occupy has a number of different meeting rooms; focus (phone booth), huddle as well as larger conference room all equipped each with state of the art AV that encompasses integrated, multimedia technology. Employees can reserve the room via our reservation system. There is a large open space which is provided to all employees utilize for town hall and events.
