Shen Milsom & Wilke (SM&W) provided acoustics, audiovisual, IT infrastructure and IT systems consulting expertise for the 950-foot condo tower at 220 Central Park South. The 160-unit, midtown Manhattan residential development truly made its mark on the New York City skyline.
SM&W’s scope of work included programming for final facility layout, planning budget development, and audiovisual design. Our audiovisual team provided integrated AV systems in apartments and villas from floors 3 through 67. Each unit is individually fit out with a mid-range audiovisual system, which provides a display and background audio with control features from multiple points within each residence. Our team also designed specialty “media rooms” throughout the project to support consumer home theater technology.
In addition, SM&W provided base building interior acoustics, IT structured cabling, and IT systems design. The building’s infrastructure was designed with the future in mind, allowing for future expansion or replacement of audiovisual systems per tenant preference.
