Shen Milsom & Wilke provided IT Infrastructure and Security consulting services, as well as an IT Systems peer review, for the David Geffen Hall Renovation at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, which was completed in October of 2022. SM&W consultants were successfully able to integrate modern technologies for security, WiFi, and data connectivity into a historic space where aesthetics and acoustics could not be compromised.
SM&W’s IT team installed custom wireless device enclosures beneath seats within the 2,200-seat performance hall in order to seamlessly provide wireless coverage and conceal end devices.
SM&W’s security consultants managed the installation of more than 200 video surveillance cameras for a new security system. Placement of the cameras required a high level of coordination with the interior design partners, considering the cameras would be visible to in the spaces. Extensive use of access control was employed throughout to define the boundaries between pubic and back of house.
