Shen Milsom & Wilke provided integrated consulting expertise in Acoustics, Audiovisual, IT Infrastructure, and Security for the New York Campus at Brookfield Place for a confidential client in the financial services industry. The client took occupancy of their new office in the spring of 2021. Design phases began in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic. Implemented from the start in a design-build model, the project team was able to collaborate & identify construction efficiencies and utilize procurement strategies for long lead items. SM&W offered its proven QA/QC practice that included twice daily updates coordinated by the SM&W multi-disciplinary team, and shared with the architect, construction manager, trades and team from the Client. Working in this manner provided an uninterruptable cadence of meetings and the project achieved a great outcome, on-time and on budget.
The new campus offers AV & Technology infrastructure that will accommodate changes in use-case such as HYBRID modalities and increased VTC utilization. Comfortable, acoustically well performing meeting environments both internal and client facing are enabled with user-intuitive presentation capabilities.
