SM&W Contribution
After the successful completion of previous WellSpan Health projects, SM&W was invited to provide medical equipment planning, purchasing, inventory, programming, installation, and relocation services for WellSpan Family Medicine – Thomas Hart and WellSpan Dental – Hoodner practices. The project commenced in November 2021 and was completed in March 2023.
The Dental practice includes 22 operatories two exam rooms, and the Family Health practice includes 30 exam rooms and three procedure rooms.
The project was unique as it was programmed and completed in the middle of the COVID Pandemic. SM&W knew that procurement times would be longer than typical, so we planned around that by extending the procurement lead times and ordered months ahead of what was considered “normal” lead time. This was important given the high quantities of Dental Operatory Equipment and Family Medicine Exam Tables.
