Recent Promotions for John Mohan and Kevin Klasic in our Greater Philadelphia Office

John Mohan has recently been promoted to Principal, and he has assumed the role of Office Manager for the SM&W Greater Philadelphia Office. John brings over 27 years of experience to his expanded role and in his new capacity, John will spearhead initiatives aimed at team development and expanding our client base within the region. Part of John’s focus will include broadening the firm’s Greater Philadelphia Office to include multidisciplinary services, adding IT, AV, Security, and Acoustics to the current team of experienced Medical Equipment Planners.

 

John has a proven track record as a Project Manager at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and as a seasoned Medical Equipment Planner, completing all aspects of the equipment planning process, from budgetary planning/specifying, to procurement and installation management services.  John has delivered countless projects on time and under budget throughout his career, managing combined equipment budgets of over $250 million.

 

In speaking about his new position, John says, “I am excited for the opportunity to lead this talented team that we have here in the Greater Philadelphia Office.  We will strive to continue building upon the legacy that SM&W has created over its 30+ year history.”

SM&W is delighted to share that Kevin Klasic, Senior Principal, is assuming a new leadership position within the firm as National Healthcare Principal. With an impressive career spanning over 37 years, Kevin has been instrumental in our success within the Medical Equipment Planning discipline, significantly growing our client base and MEQ team over the past 16 years.

 

In his new role, Kevin will continue to serve as a technical resource for the team, working closely with our regional team leaders to guide complex projects, but will pivot his focus towards nationwide business development in the healthcare sector. Leveraging his extensive experience and expertise, he will spearhead efforts to cultivate a broader client base across the US.

 

Previously, Kevin served as the Office Manager for SM&W’s Greater Philadelphia Office, with direct oversight of our regional medical equipment planning team. Under Kevin’s leadership, SM&W’s Greater Philadelphia Office has completed countless successful projects for leading healthcare institutions, including Inova, Robert Wood Johnson, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Wellspan, and John Hopkins University.

 

Kevin’s in-depth knowledge of hospital operations has enabled him to provide expert equipment planning services for project ranging from single department renovations through complete replacement facilities. His experience extends through the full spectrum of healthcare facilities including; Acute Care Hospitals, University Hospitals, Specialty Care Hospitals, Surgical Centers, Ambulatory Service Centers, Medical Office Buildings, and Clinical/Research Laboratories.
