SM&W Contribution

SM&W is currently providing audiovisual, IT infrastructure, and medical equipment planning services for the Johns Hopkins Health System new research tower. The Johns Hopkins Health System is currently building a new 12-story North Tower addition with renovations to the interior and exterior of the current CMSC building. This new tower and renovation will include approximately 450,000 SF of space, with 200,000 SF of that being dedicated to laboratory research.

SM&W joined the project team during the Construction Administration phase to help with verification and Validation of laboratory equipment, as well as a review of the planned Audiovisual and IT Infrastructure plans. SM&W will continue to assist the design and project management team with purchasing and installation of new laboratory-related equipment specified by the Principal Investigators who will be calling this space home. SM&W will also be providing hands-on support with making sure the labs are moved into their new space and ready for day one without a delay in their current research. This project is set to be completed in October 2025.
