SM&W Contribution
Shen Milsom & Wilke provided consulting expertise to the University of California at Berkeley by aiding them in quelling issues specific to the Data Science Commons areas of focus. These focus areas consisted of but were not limited to: climate & sustainability, public health, biomedicine, economics & business, responsible & ethical AI, human welfare, humanities, arts, and media.
The new Gateway building will house the Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society with the goal of developing and promoting the future of computing and data sciences. By giving students the tools to further their education and research, the university establishes a culture that promotes individual growth and innovation. Furthermore, the project will as well include research laboratories, offices, classrooms, colloquia, lecture halls, a café, and collaboration space.
