SM&W Contribution
Shen Milsom & Wilke (SM&W) provided physical security consulting services for Wildflower Studios, located in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, NY. The facility features 11 sound stages along with office, lounge, and prop spaces.
SM&W’s physical security team implemented a comprehensive suite of security systems, including an enterprise-level video surveillance system with over 200 cameras, a license plate recognition system for monitoring vehicles at security checkpoints, and an enterprise-level access control system to manage multiple access zones for each stage and elevator access.
Visitor management and loading dock/vendor management software were installed to coordinate vendor arrivals and deliveries, while vehicle gate control was implemented at all studio entry points. To ensure perimeter protection, the team deployed detection systems to identify any breaches to the studio grounds or fence line.
Additionally, SM&W designed a state-of-the-art security command center, serving as the centralized hub for monitoring the facility’s security systems and other critical operations, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the studio’s day-to-day activities.
