SM&W Contribution
The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Shanghai office is located on the 38th, 41st, and 42nd floors of IFC Shanghai, with a total construction area of 4,800 SM. Shen Milsom & Wilke (SM&W) provided acoustics, audiovisual, IT infrastructure, and security design, as well as the technology project management services to the project.
The project was developed in three phases and includes 50+ meeting rooms in different shapes & sizes those include, combinable multifunctional rooms, town hall, board & meeting rooms, war room, ideation rooms, huddle & collaboration & AV enabled spaces.
This project had gone through the entire epidemic period and encountered numerous challenges such as global chip shortages. However, SM&W worked very closely with the BCG IT team and architect to provide clients with multiple IT and AV solutions while adhering to the BCG’s corporate codes & standards. During the construction administration, the SM&W team performed weekly in-person site visits to ensure the achievement of design goals and the final seamless delivery of the project. Post occupancy visits were also conducted, and a high unitization and high user adoption of the spaces confirmed.
