Princeton University’s Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment provided specialized spaces for research related to sustainable energy. The building expects to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards, and it included a lecture hall, classrooms, clean rooms, research and teaching laboratories, conference rooms and study rooms.

The university required clean and cable-free conference tables and teacher podiums. Additionally, they didn’t want staff to have to bring their own cables. Our consultants provided a solution that utilized retractable cables in the table boxes. We also worked with manufacturers to provide a 90-inch, interactive display for video conferencing. Audiovisual throughout the building supports both digital and analog sources.

The clean rooms required specific handling for audiovisual components, so we developed a tool reservation system that included kiosks in ten locations for users to reserve the specialized tools.
