With over 25 years of experience, Robert brings a passion for technical consulting, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep understanding of client needs.
He offers extensive expertise in architectural acoustics, mechanical system noise reduction, and vibration control, having contributed to some of the most complex projects in the Bay Area and worldwide. Prior to joining SM&W, Robert spent 17 years with Charles M. Salter Associates, where he served as Senior Vice President responsible for acoustical consulting and business development. He also brings the added perspective of having worked as a principal in a real estate development firm.
Adept at problem solving, Robert thrives on collaborating with architects, contractors, developers, and end users to craft innovative solutions to complex design and construction challenges. His diverse project experience spans residential, mixed-use, corporate, civic, and healthcare sectors. Whether designing environmental acoustics, performing peer reviews, preparing feasibility studies, or developing project-specific noise and vibration standards, Robert combines advanced technical knowledge with keen client insight and genuine enthusiasm.
