With over 19 years of experience in integrated audiovisual, information technology systems, and acoustics design, Ben Lang has a diverse background spanning live events, permanent installations, and global consultancy.
Prior to joining SM&W, Ben worked within the UK live events industry as a project manager and engineer where he installed permanent solutions in the UK and North America. In addition, he served as project manager for large teams of technical resources across mainland Europe. He has managed projects ranging from £2.5 million – to £50 million.
Ben focuses on integrating technology seamlessly into the built environment and modern workplaces. He partners closely with clients to align technology solutions with broader organizational goals, ensuring systems are both functional and forward-thinking. His recent work includes high-profile projects with clients such as TikTok, SnapChat, Bonhams, Elastic, FujiFilm, and the United Nations. Notably, he has delivered over 16 floors of AV/IT integration for Blackstone across multiple international locations, requiring strong stakeholder engagement, a precise understanding of organization culture, and collaboration with internal AV/IT teams.
In his current role as Director of SM&W’s London office, he leads a team of multidisciplinary consultants delivering EMEA-based projects, while also overseeing client relationships and maintaining the firm’s brand presence across the region.
