Jon Owens brings over 10 years of experience in audiovisual design, installation, and engineering to SM&W. Since joining SM&W in 2013, Jon has become well-versed not only in audiovisual design but has also expanded his expertise in acoustics, security, and IT Infrastructure design.
His multidisciplinary focus has allowed him to work in a plethora of market sectors including education, worship, corporate, performing arts, corporate, and mixed-use. Jon’s passion for knowledge and improving his skills directly illustrates SM&W’s core mission to provide converged technology design with a single point of responsibility to deliver an efficient and cost-effective solution.
He has served as an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Art for three years, teaching evening and weekend classes in Audio Production for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science at the Institute.
